Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Light Lipstick

Hello Beautiful People!

Today we are going to talk about my Holy Grail, Most used lipstick. I have been using this lipstick every single day to work for a year and I got a lot of compliments every time. Let's have a look.

Isn't it a beauty? ๐Ÿ˜ This bad boy retails at $35 SGD from Sephora and Make Up For Ever stores. It comes in a metal casing (which may be irritating to some because of the metal friction). Make Up For Ever has never disappoint me when it comes to packaging. They always make their products feel expensive which I personally like. The lipstick is made in Paris, France and it has 3.5g of product. This lipstick comes in 25 shades if you wish to buy them from Make Up For Ever stores while Sephora only carry 12 shades.
(P.S. I own shade L203)

As you can see from the above picture, it shows that not all very bold colours can be frightening. In fact, this lipstick gives you that sheer look that isn't too overpowering for a day to day lipstick. I would say this lipstick is very hydrating on the lips. It has a high shine too, making your lips look all healthy and glowy. With that quality, it makes your face lit up. Kind of like brightens up your face. Does it last the whole day? No, but it does leave with a slight tint on your lips. How long is the lasting power for this lipstick? I would say depending on how light the colour has turned. By then it's really up to you whether you wish for the colour to be as pigmented as before.

Personally for me, I would only reapply after eating because the tint will look too natural (which is nice, don't get me wrong) but a little bit more colour won't kill, right? ๐Ÿ˜ How pigmented the shade? Look at the picture above. That is after 2 swipes of product. As you can see, the lipstick is a bit sheer but it is still packed with pigments. With this type of lipstick, I prefer using it Korean style which means having the lipstick looking all pigmented in the inner part of the lips and then you smack and rub your lips  together to even out the shade like the picture below.

(A little fun fact: this is my 2nd restocked of the lipstick and this lipstick, if used daily, can last up to 6-9 months)

With that, I shall end this post.
See you in my next post! ๐Ÿ’–

Revlon PhotoReady Candid Antioxidant Concealer

Hi beauties!

Have you seen this concealer at Watsons lately? Well, it’s our drugstore product!! We love affordable products, yes?

So today I am sharing my experience with this concealer called Revlon PhotoReady Candid Antioxidant Concealer.

It retails at SGD $20.90 in Watsons and it has 22g of product in a tube. It comes in 18 shades but Singapore Watsons only brings in 4-5 shades only (if I'm not mistaken). The packaging comes in a plastic tube with a flexible doe-foot applicator. The applicator is a bit unique I would say. Below I will show how it looks like.

It is said to have caffeine to help make you not look tired which I’m currently obsessed with at the moment. Caffeine in general helps to depuff your under eyes, and helps to make you look awake even  when you are sleep deprive. It is also antioxidant, anti-pollution and anti-blue-light ingredients which helps to protect your skin from the UV light from the sun and also from our devices. Yay to plus point!

It is said to have a medium coverage but to me who have very dark circles, it is a light coverage but buildable to a medium coverage. It didn't say this on the website but whenever I use this concealer, I feel like it has a self-setting properties that allows you to get away without setting it with loose powder which is convenient if you ask me.
The texture of the concealer is not thick nor too thin. It is at a creamy consistency that is comfortable when applied to the face.

I have been using this concealer for close to 2 months and I've enjoyed every single moment of it. It dries down to a natural finish. It withstand sweat and humidproof. It doesn't feel heavy on the skin. It is lightweight.

Below I will show you how it looks like on my skin for the whole day.

(This is after an hour of application.)

(This is after 10 hours of application. See how it is slightly setting into my crease line.)

(This is after 15 hours of application)

I would say that this concealer is good for everyday look as it still looks perfect for me. Though from the last picture, you can see it setting into my fine lines under my eyes, those can be blended easily with your finger or a sponge (if you're the type of person who brings sponge everywhere) and it will be good as new.

If you are going for an event, here's a little trick that I would would do. I will mix this concealer with Nars Radiant Concealer or any concealer you have that is thick in consistency yet provides the extra coverage, you will have that perfect canvas. I kid you not. I always mix concealers depending on where I'm heading for the day. It will look absolutely perfect for the day.

With that, I shall end my post.
I'll see you in my next review! ๐Ÿ’–

Colourpop Lippie Scrub

Hello Lovely Beauties!

Today we are discussing Lip Scrub. Have you ever scrub your lips before? Are you always feeling frustrated that your lips doesn’t look smooth when applying any matte lipstick? Do you like having that flaky feeling on your lips?

Well, look no further. Colourpop launched Lippie Scrub somewhere last year and I only got them recently. Before this, I used to scrub my lips whenever I exfoliate my face. I was thinking “why not scrub my lips together while removing any dead skin cells off my face, right?” Well, at least that’s what I thought. But whenever I do that, my lips feel very dry because my exfoliator exfoliates deeply. Thus, I am stripping off my natural moisture on my lips.

So I have been on a hunt for a lip scrub that won’t burn my wallet and I do know we can actually do a DIY lip scrub. (That would be a post for another time. ๐Ÿ˜‰) I happen to have a look at Colourpop and I saw this.

This retails at $8 USD on their official website and it comes in 3 Lippie Scrubs. It is vegan and cruelty free. Plus point! Let’s see the 3 Lippie Scrubs..
1. Razzle Dazzle (Smells like Raspberry Sorbet)
2. By The Bushel (Smells like Strawberry)
3. Coco Loco (Smells like Piรฑa Colada)

It comes in a small circular pot (as seen in the picture above). The cover is plastic while the pot itself is frosted glass. Packaging I would say, acceptable. It doesn’t look or feel too cheap, just perfect.

How's the texture?
It have raw sugar, shea butter, cupuacu butter,  sweet almond oil and jojoba oil. It is rough of texture (yes definitely! ๐Ÿ˜‚) but it is gentle at the same time. When you have the scrub on your lips, it feels balmy yet satisfying. The process of it makes me happy. Not to mention this scrub taste like you're eating strawberry! ๐Ÿ˜ Not that it matter if it has a taste but it is added bonus for me! It makes me reach out more often now.

After scrubbing, you can either wash it off or wipe it with paper towel. You will feel your lips feeling very moist, balmy feeling and also, soft! Oh I love that feeling. You can definitely use this before you apply makeup or at the end of the day where you have staining lipstick shade. Personally for me, I like to use this before I apply any matte lipstick so that application would feel better.

I will show you a picture with me using the scrub.

This is how my lipstick applies after.

With that, I shall end my post here.
I hope you guys would check it and check Colourpop out. Locally, I know a lot of you have not heard of Colourpop but they are amazing and affordable. It's worth checking them out.

I see you guys in my next post! ๐Ÿ’–
