Which Liquid Highlighter Are You?

When you live in a country that is all day all year round Summer, all you want is to look fresh with that healthy glow.

As I have very dry skin, I will always find ways to make my skin to look dewy with a healthy glow. With that being said, I have to take care of my skin and I have to up my skincare routine so that I will still have that clean skin without any pimple, rash and white heads.

Below I will show all of my favourite liquid highlighters and the way I love using them.
The highlighters are not according to my favourites but it is at random.

1. Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid Highlighter (Champagne Pop & Moonstone)

Becca comes in 7 shades. For those fair skin tone, you can try Pearl, Moonstone and Champagne Pop. For those fair to medium skin tone, you can try Opal and Prosecco Pop. For those with dark skin tone, you can try Rose Gold and Topaz. This highlighter have a smooth and silky texture, almost like a lotion feel. Becca gives out a sheen glow but it is not that blinding. Becca weighs at 50ml. That is more than an average liquid foundation weighs. So, you will know this will last you for a very long time even if you use it every day. It comes in a plastic bottle and it retails at $62 SGD from Sephora. ($41 USD from their official website).

For me personally, I like using this highlighter mix with my foundation. It will give that shine at a certain glance. Either that, or I will use it as a strobing method. Which means I will put it at my highest point (eg. my cheekbones, above my eyebrows, nose bridge and also my chin). In doing so, when I put on my foundation on top, my highest point will shine like I have a healthy looking skin. For this highlighter, I don't like it using on top of foundation as I would prefer a blinding highlighter. Since this highlighter gives out a sheen glow, I would use their powder highlighter instead for that blinding glow.

2. Iconic London Illuminator (Original and Shine)

Iconic comes in 4 shades. For fair to medium skin tone, you can try Shine and Original. For medium to darker skin tone, you can try Glow and Blush. Iconic have this watery consistency but it is fully pack with it's shimmers. I'm not talking about glittery sparkle but shimmer sparkle. That being said, Iconic gives out the best blinding shimmers among the whole collection that I owned. Iconic weighs 13.5ml but you don't need that much. A little goes a long way. Thus, this will lost for quite a long time. It comes in a glass bottle and it retails at $54 SGD from the official website.

Personally for me, I love using Iconic under my foundation as my strobing method which would be at my highest points. At the same time, I love using it on top of foundation too. I will use Original shade at my forehead and my chin to have that contoured shade and I will use Shine shade on my cheekbones and nose bridge. I don't actually blend it immediately. I will just leave dots on those areas and blend it together with foundation using my makeup sponge.

With this method, it will give that blinding effect that I always love on a normal day to day look. On days when I love a super blinding effect, I'd love to use this and layer it with either any powder highlighter that is as equally blinding.

3. Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops & Glitter Drops (Moonlight and Aurora)

3.1 Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops (Moonlight)

Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops come in 9 shades. For those fair skin tone, you can try Halo, Moonlight, Celestial and Sunlight. For medium skin tone, you can try Blossom and Candlelight. For deeper skin tone, you can try Rose Gold, Sunkissed and Sunset. If you're creative, you can use the deeper shade as a bronzer. I promise you it will look S T U N N I N G ! ๐Ÿ˜ Cover FX is a thick texture but it is packed with high shine shimmers! I would say it would be on par with Iconic as both are high shine pack but the only difference is that Iconic is thinner in consistency compared to Cover FX! Cover FX weigh 15ml. It comes in a glass bottle and it cost $65 SGD at Sephora. (Don't be trick, this picture shows the mini version).

   3.2 Cover FX Glitter Drops

Cover FX Glitter Drops come in 3 shades. Mirage Aurora, Lunar. For me, all 3 shades are wearable for all skin types. This has a watery consistency and it is full of glitter bits. The Glitter Drops is quite bold as it has that pearl-like shine. It weigh 15ml. It comes in a glass bottle and it cost $68 SGD from Sephora.

Personally for me, I would prefer to use Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops as a strobing method below and over my foundation. It will give out beautiful shine from within the foundation.

As for Cover FX Glitter Drops, I prefer to wear it over my foundation. It has that glitter bits to sparkle beautifully. Do you know if you use a cream or liquid highlighter and use powder highlighter on top of it, you will have a blinding shine? ๐Ÿ˜ I am obsessed with a healthy high shine glow and I love using it like that. If you are one of them that love a blinding highlight, you can try this method! ๐Ÿ˜‰

4. Jeffree Star Liquid Frost (Ice Queen)

Liquid Frost comes in 8 shades. For those on a lighter skin tone, you can try Canary Bling, Frozen Peach, Frost Bite and Ice Queen. For medium skin tone, you can try Goddess and Crown Jewel. For deeper skin tone, you can try Heat Wave and Chill Zone. It has a smooth and lotion like consistency like Becca, it gives out a good shine too like Iconic and it gives out glitter bits like Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops. The only ting I don't like about this highlighter is the dripper. The bottle is made out of glass while the dripper is purely made out of cheap plastic that at times, it doesn't pick up the liquid. Other than that, the highlighter made it to my top favourites. It weighs 30 ml which is more than an average highlighter and it retails at $25 USD from their official website.

For me, since it has a glittery bits, I prefer using this on top of my foundation. I don't like having glitter bits mix with my foundation. I like to top it up with powder highlighter so that it could be much blinding sparkle. Fenty Beauty Diamond Bomb would look good on top of Liquid Frost. That's my opinion that is since Fenty Beauty Diamond Bomb has big bits of glitter as well. You will shine as bright as a diamond, F O R  S U R E !

With that, I end my post. I hope my reference to the highlighter helps you in your decision in buying them locally and internationally.

Till my next entry! ๐Ÿ’–

Review - Etude House Oh M ' Eye Line

Are you looking for. . .

A Liquid Eyeliner?

That is smudge-proof?

Waterproof?

Pigmented?

Inexpensive?

Stays all day?

Look no further. Etude House Oh M ' Eye Line is for you.  I have been looking for a good eyeliner that doesn't smudge and is wallet friendly. So far, I've tried a lot of brands like Kat Von D, Silkygirl, Maybelline, Fenty Beauty, etc, but when it comes to drugstore eyeliner, this has win my heart, fully.

How does this eyeliner looks like? Let me show you.

This eyeliner has been my HOLYGRAIL ever since I discover their existence. Actually, it was Tati Westbrook (U.S Makeup Youtuber) that introduce me to this bad boy. If it was not for her, I would not have known about this awesome eyeliner. Do you know Etude House is a South Korea cosmetics brand? Do you know that the name "Etude" actually means "Study" or "Practice" in french? Well, since I just discover this brand, why not share what I know about them, right? ๐Ÿ˜‹

As you can see from the picture above, I owned 2 shades. It comes in 3 shades Black, Grey and Brown. The shades that I owned are Black (that is a MUST!)  and the other is brown. 90% of the time I would grab the Black Eyeliner as I love how pigmented it is. I usually go for Brown Eyeliner for softer, more romantic look. Being the drugstore range, it doesn't have much choices. I wish it have purple or burgundy shade. That would be awesome for days when you're lazy to put on eyeshadow but you still want some colours on your lids.

The packaging is made out of plastic. I have to admit, it feels and look cheap but it doesn't bother me that much as I'm way interested in their product that the exterior. The exterior is a bonus if it looks classy.

It comes in a brush tip (refer to picture above). For those of you who are used to brush tip or prefer a softer yet easy to maneuver, maybe you would like this too. Personally for me, I have no preference. I'm okay with both pen-like eyeliner, soft brush tip and dip and stiff brush tip and dip. All of them gave me the desired eye-look that I love. It is a matter of getting used to whatever the tip is.

From the picture above, you can see that how the product is. It doesn't bleed at all. On top it all, it cost only $8.90 SGD. Ain't that a good bargain? ๐Ÿ˜ It is smudge-proof, budge-proof and waterproof. For me, waterproof is not a factor for me to focus as I don't use makeup if I'm going swimming. This eyeliner is also sweat-proof! I'm a person who easily sweats no matter what size I am. I will sweat either way. And this eyeliner has proven to me that it doesn't go off easily with my sweat ticking down my eyelids. It does dry fast. So, if you wish to wipe off any errors, you have to do it quick. If not, you have to use makeup wipe to clean the excess. This product is made in Korea but it didn't indicate anywhere in the bottle or the website how much product it contain.

Here are some of the looks I've done using this particular eyeliner.

That sums up my review on this eyeliner.

Till the next post! ๐Ÿ’–
