Drunk Elephant Slaai Makeup-Melting Butter Cleanser - Does it really work?

Hello Beauties!
I am so glad to get away from the drama in the beauty industry and community. If you don't know what I'm talking about, it is best not to know.

Today we are talking about Drunk Elephant Slaai Makeup-Melting Butter Cleanser. I've been testing this for about almost 2 weeks now and I am honestly loving it so much.

This cleansing balm comes together with their Bamboo Booster. So what this cleansing balm do is it melts away any traces of makeup that you had for the day, dirt and everything else that is on your face. It comes with a magnetic spoon which i personally find it smart because we tend to lose the spoon easily and end up digging into the balm using your fingers which would be unhygienic after a while as all the bacteria will start collecting in your balm.

It is the most gentle product anybody could ask for. All you need is a spoonful of that cleansing balm and put it in your palm. Rub both palms together and the balm will melt into an oil solution. Rub it all over your dry face and eyes. This balm is so gentle that even it is safe for your eyes. You don't have to worry about your eyes being sting by the balm because it won't. The balm will transform from oil to milk once it touches water. For me, it is a win as you get to remove all your makeup with the oil and milk at one go.

I have tried using the balm to remove stubborn waterproof makeup such as waterproof mascara, gel eyeliner, liquid eyeshadows etc. I can assure you without a worry that all your makeup will be gone after you are done massaging your face with the balm. Usually when you use other makeup cleanser, somehow somewhat, your lashes and eyebrows will be plugged out right? Well, this cleansing balm is very gentle that your lashes and brows stay in place.

Look at how well it cleans. Once you let it turn into a milk form (which means it is in contact with water), you then rinse well with water or you can use a soft, damp cloth. Whichever you prefer.

How to use the Bamboo Booster. First of all, Bamboo Booster is a physical exfoliator. Use it in the morning (optional) once or twice a week to remove all your dead skin accumulated on the surface at night. Or you can be like me and use it at night. Avoid your eye area like any other physical exfoliator. You can decide how much of the Bamboo Booster you wish to pour into your balm. I personally prefer an even spread of the bamboo booster.

What benefits does this cleansing balm have.
1. Nourishing Fruit Salad Blend - replenish fruit oils that helps comfort and moisture your skin.
2. Marula Seed Oil - moisturizing oil that is high in antioxidants and omega 6 and 9.
3. Baobob Seed Oil - super penetrating oil that helps to strongly dissolve makeup with its high fatty acids content and deep moisturizing properties.
4. Kalahari Melon Seed Oil - lightweight oil that mosture and restore skin elasticity.
5. Mongongo Oil - have fatty acid as rich as coconut oil that protects the skin barrier as it melts dirt and other impurities from skin.
6. Ximenia Oil - rich in Vitamin C, very nourishing and moisturizing.

All of these ingredients make me happy because I know I'm using a product that loves my skin. 😍

Slaai retails at $50 SGD in Sephora and it weigh 110 g while the Bamboo Booster weigh 3 g. Slaai comes in a plastic container, easy for travelling without a worry to bring makeup pads.

With that, I shall end this here.
Hope to see you in my next post!
