Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Concealer VS Too Faced Born This Way Super Coverage Multi-Use Concealer

Hello beautiful readers.❤
Welcome to my blog.

Today we are going to do a comparison between Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Concealer VS Too Faced Super Coverage Multi-Use Sculpting Concealer. I personally feel that they are on par when it comes to end result apart from some slight differences.

From the table above, you can see how closely similar they are. They are similar in pigment and similar end result. Now let me show you the results of both concealers on each eye.

Personally for me, if you're not a makeup junkie like me, you don't need to own both. You can pick either one and it would be just as good. I would say that Fenty Beauty definitely have a wider range when it comes to colour selection. Fenty Beauty have 50 shades in total while Too Faced have 20 shades.

Both of them doesn't have any flashback. So you are safe on that part.

I hope this review help to made up your mind on which you prefer to own.

With that, I shall end this post.
Till next time! πŸ’–

Review - Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Concealer

Last week, Fenty Beauty launch their very own concealer. The hype was so good that I had to own them on that very same day it was released globally. Boy, did I not regret it walking to Sephora after a tiring day of Laser Tag with my colleagues for our D&D event.

This is how the concealer looks like. The concealer is nickname as "The Cure" because it can seriously cover your eyebag that was cause by not sleeping through the night. The pigmented is surreal that it is as similar to one of my all time favourite concealer. Watch out for my next post to know which concealer I would compare this with.

It comes in a frosted glass bottle, similar to their foundation, and it comes with a paddle-like tip. It has 7g of quantity and it is animal-cruelty free. It has a creamy consistency. I wouldn't say it is drying nor is it hydrating. It falls in the middle which makes me feel that all skin types would be able to enjoy this concealer. Even a MUA youtuber Nikkia Joy (LOVE HER!) who have very oily skin and this concealer works well for her. I would vouch myself (dry skin) to this concealer that it works!

This concealer is seriously amazing. It stays in place even after I sweat so much during an outdoor wedding reception. What a way to test out new products. Haha! Below I will show you how it looks like on me at different timing throughout the day.

This is with zero touch up. Look how it behave throughout the whole day. I'm in love! This concealer will be sitting beside my favourite concealers on my vanity table.

Oh, not forgetting. This retails at $38 SGD in Sephora and it has 50 shades! Similar to 50 Shades of Grey 😏

With this, see you in my next post!
With love πŸ’–

TOP 15 Of My Makeup for 2018

Well Hello Beauties.

2018 just ended and let's welcome 2019 with arms wide open. Are you excited for what's in store for 2019? I am! But I'm not looking forward to getting older which would be in 2 months time! 😭 Where did all the time go?

So let's talk about my favorite Top 15 Make Up Products for the year 2018 that I Love So Much.

There is 1 eyeshadow palette that I find is a total win! There are 2 foundations (sorry, no drugstore yet that impressed me fully), 3 concealers (1 high end, 2 drugstores), 3 eyeliners (2 high end, 1 drugstore), 2 liquid highlighters (high end), 1 chrome pot eyeshadow that I love so much, 2 powder highlighters and 1 skincare serum. So without further ado, we shall check them out together. We will go in a systematic order like best drugstore products first, then high end products.

1. Eyeliners.
Why are the eyeliners the first thing in the list? Because i live for eyeliners!! 😍 No eyeliner on me, and i look like a sleepy person who goes out without showering. No kidding.

1.1 Etude House Oh M'Eye Line

This has been my ride or die eyeliner for the whole year. I tend to grab this often than other eyeliners when I want my eyeliners to be perfect without any smudges. This has a brush tip and it glides smoothly over all types of eyeshadows except the chrome pots version. Some Chrome pots eyeshadow can feel a bit thick. So drawing this eyeliner over the chrome pots must be a little slower. But if you're not into chrome pots, then this can be your best friend! 😁 this eyeliner doesn't bleed too. It retails at $8.90 SGD in their store.

1.2 Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Eye Liner

This was recommended by my best friend and I totally fall in love with it. I had to buy this eyeliner over at Melbourne Sephora because it was out of stock for so long. This eyeliner has joined my vanity table where I would grab it when I need it looking very sharp and precise with my wing eyeliner. This eyeliner doesn't bleed, slightly waterproof, and a little stubborn to remove. But that's okay because it ensures me that it is there to stay when I need it to. It has a tiny brush tip which makes it easier to draw sharp wing. It draws smoothly over any eyeshadow with no issue and it retails at $32 SGD in Sephora.

1.3 Benefit Cosmetics Roller Liner Liquid Eyeliner

This is newly release all over the world around ending last month. I am obsessed with this eyeliner. I was in doubt if it is good but then i remembered anything matte would surely stay in place. And I was right. It stays all day all night! It is jet black and very pigmented through out the whole day! You can expect a good staying power for this eyeliner. It causes me no smudges, no mess, but a little hard to remove. Similar to Stila eyeliner I would say personally. But among all 3 of my best eyeliners, this is by far the black of all black I would say. If you're a fan of very pigmented jet black, check out this bad boy. I swear you would be in love with it. This eyeliner doesn't bleed and it has a brush tip similar to a caligraphy brush. It retails at $39 SGD in Sephora and Benefit Store.

2. Concealers.
I swear I can't live without them either. I need it so much to hide my big, ugly eyebag that was caused by reading storybooks and watching videos in the middle of the night  πŸ˜…

2.1 Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer

This is my holygrail concealer for drugstore. It has light coverage but you can build it to your desired coverage. For a person who have deep dark circles like me, I prefer something hydrating and very full coverage. But usually those full coverage, they are not hydrating. It is usually thick and creamy and at times, it can be hard to blend too. But for this concealer, it's light weight and easy to blend. If I decide to have something light coverage and hydrating, I would grab this. This retails at $19.90 SGD in Watsons.

2.2 Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer

This has to be my 2nd drugstore concealer that I actually enjoyed. I don't always like a concealer with a matte finish but with this, I can somehow adapt and enjoy it. It is light weight and easy to blend. The coverage that it gives out is only medium coverage but it is buildable to your heart content. And for me to use this, I can use this concealer on top of Tarte Maracuja oil for a more moisturized under eyes. This retails at £4 but you can get them from Carousell between $10-$12 SGD only.

2.3 Too Faced Born This Way Super Coverage Multi-Use Concealer

I've reviewed this concealer on my blog not long ago. I will leave a link to that post below if you haven't read my review. I fall in love with this concealer after it became available in Singapore. It is super pigmented and hydrating for my under eyes that amount all 3 of the concealers, this concealer win hands down! It being hydrating and water based, it gives me minimum creasing under my eyes. For my eyes, I can't avoid it from not creasing because the moment I smile, it will tend to crease a little. But minimum creasing is better than a whole lot of creasing. This retails at $44 SGD in Sephora.

3. Vichy Mineralize 89 - Skin Fortifying Daily Booster

I've tried a quite a number of serums recently from Innisfree to Skin Inc and I got to say that Vichy has win my heart when it comes to hydrating my skin. I really love how this serum feels on top of my toner where your skin feel less drying. Some of the serums (not mentioning which serum) will promise hydration or promise to lock on your skin moisture but it gives you the minimum results. Thus, as of this period, I'm a big fan of Vichy serum. 😍 This retails at $62 SGD in Watsons.

4. Foundations
At the moment, my holygrail foundation falls under high end makeup instead of drugstore. I've tried a few but none of them really impress me much as I prefer natural yet dewy finish while 90% of drugstore foundation in Singapore is matte finish.

4.1 Tarte Rainforest Of The Sea Foundation

This foundation is by far the best foundation I've used. It is light weight, thin consistency and not to mention, water based. The coverage is medium but you can build up to a full coverage. This foundation is quite hydrating but it doesn't not give the full dewy effect but it will give you that satin finish. There was a period of time when I had an allergy reaction to one of the products that I was trying out and I need to go out. So I grab this foundation knowing it is best for people with sensitive skin. And I swear it is the most comfortable feeling. This foundation can survive the humid weather of Singapore. This retails at $64 SGD in Sephora.

4.2 Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation

Dior is on a different level than Tarte. This foundation is that durable, it can withstand sweat and extreme heat of Singapore's tropical humid weather on a daily basis. It gives a natural finish through out the whole day. There was a time I went to the Zoo and I was perspiring like crazy. I thought no foundation could withstand the humidity but I underestimated this foundation. This foundation hold up so well, I have to give it credit 😍 This foundation retails at $65 SGD in Sephora.

5. Liquid Highlighters
Liquid highlighters are really a multi-purpose product. You can use it to mix with your foundation to make you skin look dewy and it can also make your highlighters way blinding if you know how to layer them.

5.1 Iconic London Illminators

This has got to be my favourite duo for among all of my liquid highlighters. They literally shine like nobody's business and by far the brightest among all of Sephora blinding highlighters. Sadly, these highlighters can only get them on their website at $54 SGD. For locals, don't bother converting from pounds to SGD because they will show you the price in SGD. So far, they are the only website that accommodates to our rate. I link it below on these highlighters being one of my favourite liquid highlighters.

1 trick I always do with this Iconic Illuminator is that, if your foundation is a shade lighter or darker than expected, I will dot them on my face and blend it together with my liquid foundations. 😁

5.2 MAC Strobe Cream

This strobe cream is one of the best things I feel that MAC launched. I swear it feels hydrating enough that I used it as a moisturizer instead of a highlighter. Sure, you can use it as a highlighter on top of everything. I even tried doing so but it is not blinding enough. So instead, i used them as a illuminating moisturizer 😁 This retails at $61 SGD in Sephora and MAC outlets.

6. Pressed Highlighters
Some people enjoy powder highlighters than liquid highlighters since to some, liquid highlighters are harder to use. No worries there. If you're a highlighter junkie like me, you will slowly learn my way to blinding highlighters. ☺

6.1 Anastasia Beverly Hills - Amrezy Highlighter

By far one of the prettiest highlighter that I've own. Some may say it's sheen is like a any normal golden highlighter and let me tell you I'm never a fan of normal golden undertones. It has that champagne gold sheen which is totally different than Becca Champagne Pop and other gold highlighter. It is that unique in shade that I need it in my vanity. Anastasia Beverly Hills collaboration with Amrezy (fellow beauty youtuber) have done an awesome job with this highlighter. I'm a big fan of this beauty. I'm not too sure if Sephora will restock this highlighter but if they do, they retail at $50 SGD in Sephora or you could get this seller from IG (@makeuphavencosmetics). She brings in authentic makeup brands from overseas.

6.2 Fenty Beauty Diamond Bomb All-Over Diamond Veil

This is my HOLYGRAIL of all my pressed highlighters!! 😍 I have to wear this on a daily basis. It. Is. A. Must! This highlighter is very pretty with that silver bits of glitter, that it is beautiful on its own or use it on top of another pressed highlighter. I'm always layering my highlighters to get that iridescent shade and when I top it with this highlighter as the last layer, it looks stunning! Somehow, this highlighter gives that extra boost to the look. And damn, did I not regret getting them the moment they were in stock! I'm not sure if Sephora is stocking them again but it retails for $56 SGD in Sephora.

7. Eyeshadow
By now, we all know there could be all types of eyeshadow ranging from pressed powder eyeshadow to jelly, to cream, to liquid, to pots, etc. Let me share with you my 2018 favourite and obsession.

7.1 Iconic London Chrome Flash Eye Pots

I only discovered this a few months back and for what I know, Iconic just launch this not long ago too. What attracts me is how pigmented it is and how budgeproof the eyeshadow is. Even if you sweat a lot, this eyeshadow will hold up so well that it will only be removed by a makeup remover without any trouble. This comes in 5 shades for now and I'm already considering to get all 5 shades to play with. For me, I prefer applying it with my finger but you can also use a synthetic brush to apply. It dries up fast so you have to work fast if you wish to buff up the edges (which I don't see a need to). This cannot be found locally but it retails at $33 SGD in their official website.

7.2 Huda Beauty The New Nude Eyeshadow Palette

I don't usually buy eyeshadow palette only because personally for me, I feel like some of the colours on some palettes are quite similar. But when Huda Kattan decides to launch this beauty, I can't say no. It has the most beautiful palette that just by looking at it, you instantly feel pretty. I got mine in Melbourne since during that period when they launch this palette internationally, Singapore is one of the slow launches. And I swear the moment I bought them from Melbourne Sephora, it went out of stock in Melbourne for quite a while. This palette is a bit unique that it has many types of eyeshadow in 1 palette that some of the beauty gurus would say "this palette is more for experienced makeup person." which I personally don't think so. It has 10 matte eyeshadows, 4 reflective pearl-like duo chrome shades, 2 glitters, 1 pressed pearl and 1 concealer based. This palette is so smart that if you need to do a cut crease, you can just dip your brush into that concealer and it will hold your shimmers and glitters at its best! Try the palette in Sephora and you will know how pretty it is. This palette retails at $100 SGD in Sephora.

Wow, such a long post. But it is all worth it. All for the love of makeup! 😍

With that, I shall end here.
And I will see you in my next post.
Till then! πŸ’–
