Today let's talk about Nikkia Joy Cosmetics Velvet Finishing Powder.
You may ask who is Nikkia Joy? She is an influencer and a MUA from Australia whom I admire so much for a long time. Even though she's an oily skin sister and I am a dry skin sister, I love the way she reviews a product. It is very detailed to the point that I learnt so much from her that I hope one day I would be as good as her.
Anyway, when Nikkia release this setting powder together with her perfecting sponges, both products went out of stock in just a few hours. I only manage to grab my hands on her Velvet Finishing Powder after 2 weeks later. It reached me in 2 weeks after ordering and I'm glad that I got them. Let me tell you, I literally stop using my other setting powder because this feels so good. My skin feels velvety throughout the whole day.
I have been testing this product for 2 weeks now and I have never been obsessed with setting powder ever since I started using this. As you know, powder mattify your skin and for dry skin, powder is like our enemy unless it is really necessary (or depending on personal preference).
Personally for me, I would never set my whole face. I would always leave my face looking dewy and only set my undereyes. But with this powder, I would gladly set my whole face and it will not dry my skin at all. This powder is design to hydrate your skin with 6 power ingredients and also to improve skin condition.
The 6 power ingredients are:
1. Vitamin A - Powerful antioxidant that helps with me premature aging and skin damage.
2. Vitamin E - Antioxidant that heals scars, skin damage and deeply hydrates skin.
3. Sweet Almond Oil - Hydrates and conditions skin whilst softening fine lines and textures.
4. Aloe Vera - deeply hydrates and conditions skin.
5. Coconut Aminos - Deeply hydrates and conditions skin.
6. Green Tea Extract - Calms skin irritation and redness.
In all honesty, I have used this powder in a lot of occasion and I would say I am highly impressed with it. I used to get a lot of creases under my eyes and it made me think that I have fine lines that can't be hidden. But I am glad that I was wrong because ever since I start using this powder, my face looks flawless and it makes my skin feels satin yet velvety feeling 😍
I wore this powder and sweat a whole lot yet it is still hold my makeup in place. How amazing is that? I would highly recommend this powder to everyone of every skin type, even for sensitive skin, especially those who lost hope with setting powder as it doesn't work for them.
